Haringey Aquatics makes the team AGAIN!!

Following Max H’s call up last year, Haringey was back in the team for this years National County Team Championships, held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield. Possibly the fastest short course pool in the country, Max G made it count for him!

Max G had two individual races as well as 2 relays.
5th Place in 100m Breaststroke with a fantastic time of 1:10.90 (breaking a club record which has been held since 1995).
4th Place in 100m Freestyle with a short course PB of 56.38
1st Place in 200m Medley Relay (with another outstanding swim from the young Breaststroker) romping home in 1:55.75
5th Place in the Mixed 6x50m Freestyle Team Relay in 2:36.08

Middlesex finished 7th overall in a really exciting event. With Yorkshire defending their title (division 1 is made up of 20 teams).

Sharon Austin, County Team Manager and Head of Haringey Aquatics Teaching programme said the team were absolutely fantastic throughout the whole weekend. I was so proud of Max and his excellent swims. It’s such a privilege for me to be part of the team once again.
