Opportunities to become a British Swimming Judge

There are two training courses to become a Qualified Judge (J1) starting in the New Year.
Becoming a Qualified Judge (J1) a is a great way to get more involved with the club and will help understand the swimming world at a much deeper level and a good way to pass the long hours at agala.
Please remember a gala cannot run without Officials (who are all volunteers) and all our swimmers’ entries to a competition can be rejected if we fail to provide Officials to help. It is vital for our club to have a good number of Qualified Judges available to share the duties in the many galas we have planned to do.  At present we are really in need of new people and all application would be most welcomed.
Please contact Marianna as soon possible if you are interested in doing one of these courses.

County Age Group 2018 Acceptance List

U13 Waterpolo development tournament

An intrepid 7 players competed in this tournament on the 26th November, meaning they had to keep swimming and treading water for three games without a substitute.

We lost the first game 3-7 to Barnet. They had a couple of strong players and it took us a while to work out how to limit their goal scoring.

In the next one we played really well and were 3-2 up against Croydon B, but conceded a heart breaking goal in the last few seconds to draw 3-3.

We won the last game against Lewisham relatively comfortably. So the final result was third overall.

I was delighted with the team’s gutsy performance and how much they improved over the course of the three games.
