Learn To Swim

Why learn to swim? Aside from it being a fun, enjoyable and healthy activity, it is a vitally important key skill for all children to learn. Sadly, drowning continues to be the leading cause of accidental deaths of children and young people. Swimming is not only sport, it is a skill that can help save lives.

Under the direction of our experienced and qualified team of ASA-accredited teachers, Haringey Aquatics operate a balanced programme of learning, based on fun activities to help build your child’s confidence in the water. We have now over 200 keen young swimmers enrolled on our programme at Northumberland Park Community School Swimming Pool, with spaces filling up fast!

Our programme follows the ASA-endorsed Learn to Swim Framework and it is the first steps for swimmers to embark upon an exciting journey into the world of aquatics.

Stages 1 – 7 of the framework equips swimmers with the skills to be confident, competent and safe in the water, as well as developing basic aquatic techniques across a range of strokes.
