Sharon Austin
Head of Teaching

Sharon first became involved in volunteering at Haringey Aquatics when her son started competing in internal galas at the club. Sharon has spent countless hours helping organise teams and officiating at galas since. It became quite clear that she much preferred the busy life on poolside rather than watching in the humid gallery. After passing her Swimming Judge 1 & 2 qualification, Sharon went on to pass her Level One and Two ASA Certificate in Teaching Swimming.
Sharon now leads our thriving Learn to Swim Programme based at Northumberland Park Community School. In March 2014, Sharon was awarded the Unsung Woman’s Award at Haringey Council’s International Women’s’ Day  Awards in recognition of her outstanding contribution to sport in the borough.

Louise Redman
Swimming & Diving Instructor

Louise has been involved with Haringey Aquatics for over 20 years, beginning with swimming lessons at age 4 and progressing through the groups to the competitive squad at age 9. Louise was a much admired and talented swimmer,
which naturally explained her election to Club Captain a few years later. Since retiring from competitive swimming, Louise trained as a Lifeguard, and worked at a number of pools across London. Louise is now one of our most versatile and resourceful members of staff, as she hold ASA-accredited qualifications in teaching swimming, diving and aqua-aerobics. At present, she has taken a prominent role in leading Haringey Aquatics Learn to Dive Programme, but continues to actively support the Learn to Swim Programme in Northumberland Park.
