Dr Lesley Walker
Lesley became involved in Haringey Aquatics over 20 years ago, when her daughters learnt to swim. Over the last two decades, Lesley has been an integral part of the volunteer base of Haringey Aquatics. Most notably, she has led the committee as its Chairwoman for over ten years, and most recently she has led the start-up of a satellite programme of aqua-aerobics and swimming lessons at Northumberland Park. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to the club, Lesley was presented with the London Volunteer of the Year Award in 2013 at the Aquaforce Awards.
Away from the pools, Lesley was Director of Information at Cancer Research UK and brings a wealth of experience to the committee in her current role as Treasurer. Contact via email@example.com
Linda has been a dedicated volunteer within Haringey Aquatics for over thirty years, first joining in 1982 when her daughter was admitted to the Learn to Swim Programme. Merely a few years later, Linda became the Learn to Swim Co-ordinator, helping the club expand its learner membership to the highest levels in club history. Since, Linda served as Treasurer for a number of years, and most recently was elected to the post of Secretary in spring 2014.
Linda is a long term Tottenham resident, who is a Business Manager at a local primary school. Contact via firstname.lastname@example.org
Press and Merchandising (Kit) Officer
Constance has been with Haringey Aquatics since 2009, and brings a background in branding, design and communications. She has spent 25 years in design/marketing executive roles at Nike, Levi’s, The Gap and worked with some of the world’s top athletes and designers. More recently, she has been an executive with a leading interior design firm.
Her role as Press and Merchandising (Kit) Officer is a natural extension of her experience, and she is inspired by the stories of the swimmers, coaches, community and volunteers. In 2015, Constance was selected for the ASA’s Event Volunteer Professional (EVP) programme throughout which she assisted the ASA and British Swimming press teams at the ASA Summer and Winter championships and the 2016 LEN European Championships. She swims for fitness at the Park Road Lido and cycles to work.
