Swim England 2018 Renewal: now open (31st Dec 2017-31st Jan 2018)

The annual Swim England (former ASA) Membership is due for ALL members (Divers, Swimmers, Water Polo Players, Staff & Volunteers).

The Renewal Process:
Simply, click on the link to the form Swim England form

This will direct you to a membership form, please complete all details then click on submit.
For the registration to be complete you need to pay the amount via your bank as NO money is taken out of your account when submitting the form.
The Fees for 2018:
Category 1 (non competitive) – £21.00
Category 2 (competitive) – £38.00
Category 3 – (staff, officials, volunteers) – contact me direct.
IMPORTANT – Failure to renew the membership by Wednesday 31st January 2018 will result in your child being turned away from their training session and their membership with the Club and Swim England being lapsed.

Late applications and payments after 31st January will incur a £10 administration fee on top of normal fees to reinstate the lapsed membership.

Winter Club Championships: Results from Week 1 (17th Nov 2017)

Well done to all those who competed on Friday – there were lots of new times and personal bests. Here are the results from Week One ONLY (17/11/17) of Haringey Aquatics Winter Club Championships 2017:

Please note the  Girls IM results will be published once the remaining girls have all competed on Fri 24th Nov 2017.

The full results will be published after the second week of the Championships on Friday (24/11/17).  Looking forward to another exciting evening of swimming on Friday – see you all there.

Haringey Aquatics Winter Championships 2017: Accepted entries & gala information

The competition will be held on Friday 17th and Friday 24th November 2017 at Park Road 25m Pool, Crouch End.

Swimmers should be ready on poolside for 6.00pm and make sure to SIGN IN.
Warm up will start at 6.10pm.
Races will start at 7.00pm sharp.

Events will be:

17th November: 50 fly (12/under) 100 fly (13/over), 100 back

24th November: 100 breast, 100 free, 100 IM, 200IM (16/over)

To even out the sessions, girls racing other events on Friday 17th November will swim 100IM on Friday 17th. Girls attending only Friday 24th will of course swim the 100IM on Friday 24th

Medals will be presented to the three swimmers placed 1st 2nd and 3rd and ribbons to those placed 4th, 5th and 6th for the boy and girl in each age group.  Age groups shall be aged 9,10,11,12,13,14,15 and 16 and over.  Trophies will be presented for first place in each event and age group.

All trophies won in 2016 need to be returned to Janet Brewer. Girls: Please return Friday 17th November; Boys Friday 24th November. 

The medals and trophies will be presented at the annual Presentation Disco:

Refreshments: We ask all fmailies to bring some food for the buffet (No nuts) & there is a reasonably priced bar.

Swimming lessons and water aerobics for women in N17

Haringey Aquatics runs the following sessions for adults and women only in the pool at Duke’s Aldridge Academy in N17 (formerly know as Northumberland Park Community School).

We have a team of experienced and dedicated instructors and our sessions are relaxed and friendly.  Whether you want to increase your mobility, work on your fitness or simply learn or improve your swimming, we have something to suit you.

Fridays during school term time.

6.00-6.45pm Swimming for beginners and improvers (teacher Sharon Austin)

6.45-7.30pm Water Aerobics (instructor Louise Redman)

The sessions are open to all women aged 14-75+ years. Sharon will be aiming to get you swimming and if you can swim, to improve your technique. Water aerobics provides a great workout to music and Louise will provide you with a level of exercise that suits your ability.  No swimming is involved.

Sunday 9.30-10.15am throughout the year (teacher Sharon Austin)

This Sunday morning session is currently targeted at improvers who can swim a couple of lengths or more and want to improve technique and stamina. It’s a mixed class for men and women aged 14+years.
